Toyo Setal’s New Contract

Toyo Setal is a Brazilian, industrial construction company. They focus on incredibly complex projects in the oil and gas, petrochemical, mining, steel, fertiliser, and energy infrastructure. They were founded in 2012 and are based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Recently, they won a new contract for a project that has the potential to be incredibly profitable.

In essence, Toyo Setal has to engineer, design, and build a facility that can act as a functional and efficient place to process natural gas. They are also responsible for finding the actual equipment to be used in facility, as well as various materials, and hiring all of the assistance for the project. Succinctly stated, Toyo Setal has a massive amount of responsibility for this contract. The services offered will be lump sum and turnkey services. In the industrial world, this means that payment will be rendered in a lump sum upon completed services and not with an ongoing or hourly contract. Turnkey means that the product or facility should be ready for the buyer to operate upon arrival without any additional work or setup required.

This project is a part of the Brazilian Petrobas program. Toyo Setal won their first contract for this program in 1999 and have been completing work for it ever since. This particular contracts consists of the construction of three different facilities that will all process natural gas from the Campos Basin. These facilities will be located in Cabiunas as well as Duque de Caxias. This company has completed a large amount of work for the Petrobas program. These projects were the Alberto Pasqualini Refinery (REFAP) Modernization Project, Henrique Lage Refinery (REVAP) Modernization Project, and two gas pipeline projects. Overall, it is likely that this mutually beneficial relationship between the two titans of industry will continue and benefit all involved.
