Gump’s Is Coming Back and Art Lovers Couldn’t Be Happier

Gump’s has a long and storied history in America        . As a luxury retailer specializing in precious art, gemstones, and brand named apparel, the store can trace its roots back more than 150 years. It was in 1861 that Solomon and Gustave Gump opened their first store in San Francisco.

That little shop would focus on mirrors and frames. One has to wonder if they ever envisioned that it would develop into such a sought after business that attracted customers like Franklin D. Roosevelt and Sarah Bernhardt over the years. While they have been closed for over a year, a reopening for Gump’s is set in San Francisco and New York City with the Chachas family now being in control.

The new owners look to maintain the Gump’s brand and reputation for superior merchandise. John Chachas will be at the helm of the company and he has made his name as the founder of Methuselah Advisors. He has long been in love with Gump’s and jumped at the opportunity to acquire it recently. Go Here for related Information.

He can remember him and his family shopping at Gump’s during the Holidays for quite a few years. It is the iconic Buddha statue that always jumped out on him.
